Christmas Gift

Amy has gone to work, she works 9 to 5:30 so she is gone for a while, I hate it when she has to work long shifts, I miss her. She works tomorrow 8 to 5 which is her fourth day in a row of working, remember she is suppose to be part time but she is off Tuesday.

However since she is out of school the next two weeks for her in between semester breaks & it is the holiday season she is working 38 hours this week & 35 hours next week. She likes her job so that is what is important.

She is off Thursday for Thanksgiving, which I thought the store she works at was closed on Thanksgiving but they are open for a little while. Amy's boss works Thanksgivings shift by herself so her employees can have the holiday off. Amy really like her boss back in the seafood department. She is so much happier that she no longer works as a cashier up front.

Amy says she likes her job, but once she gets her degree in Pharmacy Tech she is moving over to the pharmacy. Then while she is working there she is going to finish working on getting her Medical Assistant degree. That is what she is really wanting to do but she took the Pharmacy Tech classes to have something to fall back on. I am really proud of her, she is working so hard to better herself, her words, not mine.

She starts her third semester on December 3rd, so far through her two semesters she has a high B average. She would have an A average but she had to miss a few days & one of those days she missed she had a test & her professor had strict rules about make up tests.

Anyway, the store Amy works for is closed for Christmas which is good, because there is no way on earth Amy or I would want her working on Christmas. I think it is ashame that they are opened on Thanksgiving, but the deli department cooks Thanksgiving dinners so that is why they are open.

Donavon & Jaydon went to church this morning, they hadn't went in awhile but they wanted to go today. Like I have always said, if they want to go they can, if they don't that is fine also. Amy & I don't go for our own personal reasons, but we would never keep our children from going.

Trystan use to go but after he turn 7 he just stopped going, I don't know if it is because they put him in another class or what it is exactly but he doesn't want to go so we don't make him.

Amy said he may have some of the problems I have, since he has Bi Polar & ADHD. So if that is the reason I defiantly wouldn't make him go, I just really hope he wont have the psychosis like I have. Which mentioning Trystan, he will be 9 years old  next Sunday, he is getting big on us.

Anyway, Jaydon came home singing "Jesus, Jesus got him on my mind, Jesus, Jesus got him on my mind." I think it is so cute when he comes home & tells us what he has learned or comes home singing.

Well the boys go this Monday & Tuesday & then they are out the rest of the week, they are so excited about that. Amy works Wednesday 12 to 9:30 so it will be me all by myself with my little demons, I mean angles, lol. I love them, I really do, but you get them all three in the same room & it is like a bomb has went off, lol.

So I spent all day yesterday getting this house cleaned, Amy has been asking me to give it a good cleaning & I finally did. It was amazing how much stuff needed to be cleaned, I knew it was messed up, but the house was dirty. I worked from the time Amy left at 1:30 to the time she got home at 9:30 & I still wasn't done.

I have spent this morning cleaning the oven, the walls, washing the rest of the cloths I didn't get to yesterday, & I re moped the floors. Yesterday Trystan came through  & ask me what was wrong with the kitchen sink. I thought oh no what now. So I asked him what was wrong with it & he said it was clean, lol. I was determined to get all the dishes washed & clean the sinks out & I finally did it yesterday, lol.

I am going to try to get Amy one of those rings she showed me for Christmas, & I am still going to get her the other thing I thought about getting her, that way there will be something under the tree she wont know about. She said yesterday she knows what she is going to get me, so I have been trying my best to get her to tell me, but I haven't had any luck, lol.

Amy & I haven't bought the first thing for Christmas & it probably wont be until after the first of December before we do. The boys have given us some ideas about what they want for Christmas but after that we really don't know what to get them. They are getting at the age where they are picky about the things they get.

I love this time of year, while I have been cleaning I have been listening to Christmas music. I love the holiday songs. I know I am not the most "religious" person around but there is one song I love to here every year at Christmas time & that is "Oh Holy Night."

Here is something you may or may not know, when you see Xmas the X is a symbolic symbol for Christ. I have heard a lot of people argue that the X is just another way of getting Christ out of Christmas, but that isn't the case. So if you didn't know that, the next time someone says it is disrespecting Christ you can correct them, if you want.
